First Independent Financial Services: Updated Logo
First Independent Financial Services, Inc. is a full service independent broker dealer, serving the financial planner, insurance professional, CPA and attorney by giving them the help they need to make the investment portion of their practices as profitable as possible. Their principals have over 75 years of combined experience in the securities industry. They are based in Tulsa, Oklahoma but their associates practice in independent offices throughout the USA. These associates include financial planners, insurance and estate planning professionals, employee benefits specialists, CPAs and attorneys. Its founders are Phil Palmer and Noel Bennett.
A Blue Moon Arts created FIFS' original logo several years ago. This original design emphasized the "Independent" aspect of the services that FIFS and its associates offer. The large, column-like "I" was designed to be used as a stand-alone icon once the company became well-known enough that it wasn't necessary to spell out the full name everywhere.
FIFS' commitment to integrity and excellence have paid off and the company has prospered. As it grew, its founders discovered that American patriotism was a theme that brought good results when they incorporated it into FIF's' marketing. So Phil and Noel approached A Blue Moon Arts about revising their logo. The goal: keep the name recognition value that the previous logo had built up, but incorporate patriotism in an appropriate way.
The capital "I" and "Independent" were the most memorable elements of the old logo. So I explored combining these with stars, stripes and other traditional symbols of America. It was a process of distilling FIFS' personality down to its essence. The best solution proved to be a very simple one. Here are the three variations that FIFS plans to use in various formats:
